Theater FroeFroe

http://www.froefroe.be

Theater FroeFroe makes puppet theatre for children, young people and adults. Their productions contain all kinds of cross-overs between puppets, figures, objects, video, actors and live music. They are not afraid to try any experiment in form, concept or discipline. The result is hip puppet theatre, a children’s theatre without childishness, theatre that digs and pinches.
The performances are based on original work, books, repertory theatre or commissions from Dutch-speaking writers and composers.

The company creates visual performances about recognisable emotions and themes, in which music always plays an important role and where wonder and imagination are central features. Tg Schemering opts for an evocative approach, as this allows it to address the audience more quickly and more directly, rather than using an abundance of words.

The company makes theatre about the world and the times we live in. Luxemburg has been operationally subsidized since 2001. Arlette Van Overvelt is artistic director, producer and coach. Nele Gernaey acts as business and managing director and Rein De Smet is responsible for communication and education.
